On site consultation for Teachers
Kids Social Skills offers a short term consultation to support teachers in their classrooms
Who we help?
Teachers dealing with:
- Children with disruptive behavior
- Children who have difficulties with transitions
- Children who need help working and playing in a group
How we help?
We develop an individualized plan, tailored for the needs of the child and classroom using a 4 step approach:
- In-depth interview with the teachers* to learn about the child and the classroom environment and to set goals.
- Two classroom observations.
- Introduce a behavior modification plan and train the teachers to effectively implement it.
- Follow up observations and meetings with the teachers to monitor progress and update the plan
* Parents are welcome to join
Is a Diagnosis Necessary For Intervention?
No. We offer a behavior modification plan based on interviews with teachers and observations.
However, we have extensive experience diagnosing and helping children with: Disruptive Behaviors, Attention Deficit Disorder, Anxiety, Selective Mutism and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
We believe that children can learn to play, become more flexible, and enjoy their classroom environment.
